Cognitive Dissonant

The most daunting part of the packing is through. The beginning, yes, but more importantly my desk. I don’t have a piece count, but know that it is enough to fill two large footlockers. And I organized them. Well, more or less.

I was very excited to find a cache of 2B Black Velvet pencils. I know you don’t understand, but I fell in love with the smooth lines and rich blacks when I was 16. They are one of the precious few quality artist pencils that actually include an eraser. I suppose most manufacturers think that artists must already have erasers handy? Eberhard Faber stopped production of Black Velvet pencils about 10 years ago. In my mid-twenties, I bought the last two boxes I could find, at discount no less, and have never seen them since…

That is one thing to be said for moving. You end up throwing out things you should have discarded long ago, and if you’re lucky you also find things you forgot you had.

I wonder what else I’ve squirreled away.
