The key was constructed of primarily plastic card, also called styrene, cast polyurethane resin, brass pipe, carbon fiber and stainless steel springs. Every part had to be custom fabricated. The mechanism was designed through trial and error.
As I am preparing to sell a run in January, I am hesitant to discuss the specifics of its design. The mechanism isn’t anything necessarily complicated, but it did take me a while to work it out. Once the run is complete I may sell kits at a discount. I do not know when that might be. Please note that assembly and finishing of the key will require having had some experience with model building. Thanks for your interest.

Hi, I just became interested in the mummy key and would really like to make a Mummy Key. If you could inform me as to where you purchased the springs and spring activation mechanism that were used in your (amazingly awesome) key it would be much appreciated. I would also enjoy any information you would be willing to share on how the hinges/parts of your key go, and stay together. Thank you so much for your time.

Ok, well I walked into that one…

In honor of tonight’s Presidential Debate, a rebuttal.

By warn, I meant to suggest “You may need to give me some kind of signal if I go too far…” In fact I think this was actually suggested to my by someone who seemed to have alot of otherwise good advice.

This isn’t a time table, this isn’t a plan or a deadline, its an observation. Statistically, within a month, if I am going to fall for a girl, I have. Please understand I am not considering, “Hi, I am probably going to fall for you in three weeks. Can I buy you a drink?”

I would like to believe I would be better off waiting for the sequal, “how to lose a girl in 21 days.” as nothing of Kate Hudson’s behavior shares any particular similarities with my own.
